The ALS Association is the only national not-for-profit health organization dedicated solely to the fight against ALS.

The organization’s mission is to lead the fight to cure and treat ALS through global cutting-edge research, and to empower people with Lou Gehrig’s Disease and their families to live fuller lives by providing them with compassionate care and support.

ALS Association, Greater Philadelphia Chapter
Joan Dancy and PALS has partnered with the Greater Philadelphia Chapter as their regional Monmouth and Ocean County Resource Group to access the most extensive patient services program in the country.

ALS Division of the Muscular Dystrophy Association
The ALS Division of MDA offers a comprehensive range of services and continues to search for a treatment or cure for ALS.

Phil’s Field of Hope
Former Oakland Raider and Super Bowl XI Champion, Phil Villapiano, joined with the Muscular Dystrophy Association in creating an event to call attention to the devastating effects of ALS and raise funds for research. 

The Patrick O’Brien Foundation
Patrick O’Brien, diagnosed with ALS at age 30, is producing a feature film about living with ALS.

Augie’s Quest
Augie Nieto, co-founder of Life Fitness, Inc, the largest commercial manufacturer of fitness equipment in the world, was diagnosed with ALS in March 2005.

Ben Byer’s Indestructible
Ben Byer, a young filmmaker who was diagnosed with ALS, documents his life on camera.

Share the Care
Two of Joan Dancy’s friends used this site to organize a Share the Care group to support and assist Joan’s family throughout her fight with ALS. It brought together people from different areas of Joan’s life – family, friends, co-workers, neighbors and caring acquaintances who formed a bond and became “Joan’s Angels”.

Valentine Plunge
